Name of the Department: Animal Reproduction, Gynaecology and Obstetrics

Brief Information about the Department: 

The Department of Animal Reproduction, Gynaecology, and Obstetrics at this college began functioning on 1st December 1998 with the joining of its first faculty member. The department offers B.V.Sc. & A.H. courses in accordance with the syllabus prescribed by the Veterinary Council of India (VCI) under the Minimum Standards of Veterinary Education (MSVE) regulations. It also offers M.V.Sc. and Ph.D. programs, which follow the syllabus set by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR).

In addition to teaching and attending clinical cases at the Teaching Veterinary Clinical Complex, faculty members are actively involved in the college’s extension activities. The department occasionally organizes training programs aimed at enhancing livestock production and reproduction. These programs benefit livestock farmers, veterinarians, Subject Matter Specialists (SMS), and scientists by updating their knowledge in the field of animal reproduction and the latest reproductive technologies.
